My Disney Bucket List

Believe it or not, Disney has way more vacation offerings and experiences than just theme parks. With Disney prices, it’s hard to accomplish them all in a lifetime, let alone one trip. I wanted to compile my Disney Bucket List so I can start planning more vacations and check these off as I go.

Stay in a Copper Creek Waterfront Cabin at WDW

Copper Creek holds such a special place in my heart because it’s our ‘Home Resort’ for Disney Vacation Club (DVC). It’s themed after the Pacific Northwest and couldn’t be more beautiful and serene. Not only does the resort offer all room types ranging from studios to three bedroom villas, they also offer waterfront cabins located on Bay Lake. These are absolutely gorgeous but come with a pretty high price tag (or a lot of DVC Points!) These cabins sleep up to 8 and are complete with 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and the privacy of your own ‘home’ for your stay.

Arguably, the best part of the cabin is the screened in porch completed with a hot tub and fireplace. Since the resort is located in the Magic Kingdom area, you can actually have a pretty good fireworks view if you request the cabins closest to the castle. The resort also pipes in the music from the Happily Ever After nighttime spectacular to enhance the experience. This is definitely a bucket list item for me and I would love to coordinate my trip around the Christmas season to take full advantage of that hot tub, porch, and fireworks situation.

VIP Tour at WDW

Wouldn’t it be nice to go to Walt Disney World and ride all of your favorite rides, visit all four parks, and never have to wait in line? That is basically what a VIP Tour is all about! You get to customize an itinerary picking which parks and attractions you want to visit. You also get a Disney Tour Guide to escort you from place to place and even get to take some backstage shortcuts. If you are going during a peak season like Christmas or Spring Break, this would be such a great way to get all of the popular attractions in without wasting a lot of time in line.

Dinner at Victoria & Alberts

Victoria & Alberts is a AAA Five Diamond award winning restaurant located in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. This fine dining experience includes a seven course prix fixe menu offering modern American cuisine. Example dishes include caviar, langoustine, quail, and wild boar. Andrew and I love unique fine dining experiences and this is a must do for us. If you have ever been on a Disney Cruise, you may have heard of a similar dining experience at Remy. Remy is another prix fixe signature dining experience and both restaurants share the same executive chef and menu curator, Scott Hunnel.  We had the opportunity to dine at Remy on our first Disney cruise and can’t wait to give V&A a try.

Visit All Disney Parks Globally

Did you know Disney has parks all over the world? Currently, Disney has the following theme park resorts:

  • Walt Disney World Resort (Florida)
  • Disneyland Resort (California)
  • Tokyo Disney Resort
  • Disneyland Paris
  • Hong Kong Disneyland Resort
  • Shanghai Disney Resort

AND I WANT TO GO TO ALL OF THEM! Surprisingly, I have only been to Walt Disney World in Florida. In my lifetime, I would love to visit the rest of these theme parks. Realistically, the next one we will go to is Disneyland in California (hoping for June of 2022!) but if I had to rank this list, Tokyo Disney would be at the top of my list.  The parks in Asia are newer than in the US and the technology is amazing. They truly spared no expense in their parks. If you want to check out some footage from the Tokyo parks, I highly recommend checking out some vlogs on Youtube from accounts like TheTimTracker or PCDev.

Mediterranean & Alaska Disney Cruises

I’m a firm believer that you are either a cruise person or you are not. Us? We are definitely cruise people. A place where you can eat and drink all day and be dropped off in different exotic locations every day? Yes please. When our kiddos get a little older, I really want to do an Alaskan cruise and a Mediterranean cruise. The Alaskan cruises look beautiful and hiking up a glacier/whale watching sounds amazing. Especially when Mickey and Minnie are with us in their cutie little winter outfits!

As far as the Mediterranean cruise goes, I’ve actually never been to Europe. I think this would be a really fun and easy way to travel there with kids to get a taste of what traveling abroad is like.

Aulani

Hawaii is another destination that I’ve never been to but realistically, this may be the first item on my bucket list I cross off! Aulani is a Disney Resort & Spa located in Ko Olina, Hawaii. While this isn’t a theme park, it is a more relaxing vacation sprinkled with Disney Magic. This resort has a spa, multiple pools, lazy rivers, and character dining with Mickey and Minnie. Not to mention, they offer family friendly excursions around the Hawaiian islands. Currently, we are planning a 10-day trip for the summer of ‘22 that includes two days at Disneyland Resort in California and a seven night stay at Disney’s Aulani. If you have ever been or have any tips, please comment below or DM me!

This post made me realize all of the places I haven’t traveled to! I guess I’ve been spending too much time in the World Showcase and not enough time out in the actual world! 🙂 There are so many experiences and different vacation options that Disney has to offer. What did I miss on my list? What would be on your Disney bucket list? Let me know in the comments below!

This is a great list! We love WDW and always default to that location for our Disney Magic but my next idea is to do a couple days at WDW then jump on a Disney cruise. BUT, an Alaskan cruise has always been on my bucket list and now that I know I can combine those two things – that may be our first Disney cruise experience. Zoey loves arctic animals and thought whale-watching in Hawaii was the best! We took Zoey to Hawaii a few years ago and I always assumed our next visit to the islands would be to Aulani. So while WDW will probably be in the nearer future, Aulani and the Alaska cruise would be top of my Disney bucket list!

Im DYING to cruise again! I can’t wait until the ships can sail again. I may have to reach out to you for travel tips on Hawaii! 🙂 <3 Glad you enjoyed the post!

Yes to all of these! I tried to fit Aulani in when we went to Hawaii last year but with only a day on O’ahu on each side of our trip it just didn’t work.
